After moving to Maui in
1997, Randy Murillo was quickly given the nickname “Cool Dog”. With his laid back attitude, as well as his companion,
half rotweiller, half wolfhound, Cool, they both became known for their mellow temperament.
The two were inseparable
and the shade wearing duo became a South Maui fixture seen cruising Kihei together. Cool found a soul mate in Coolette who
was found abandoned at the beach. She followed, then stalked Randy and Cool who took her in. She had a litter of 12 puppies.
Now Coolio and Chily who are litter mates from
their famous parents keep the tradition alive. Both Cool and Coolette have gone to the great doggie park
in the sky.
As an icon of South Maui, Randy and his cool companions continue
to put smiles on the faces of locals and tourists alike. Wishing to share the joy of their COOL DOG attitude and way of life,
you can now buy some really cool stuff offered locally on Maui, and soon to be offered online.
